KLAIR
What the hell is this?
BAI
It's the basement!
KLAIR
It's so cluttered... How are we supposed to find that key piece?
ISSAC
If this is some sort of fucking joke...
BAI
Not a joke! It's a maze. The House doesn't give you key pieces so easily.
KLAIR
Do you at least know the way through?
BAI
Nope.
KLAIR
Of course.
BAI
There's more than just that, too! I don't know if this has occurred to you yet or not, but you can die here. Many have before you, in fact. I'm warning you because you might have to fight for the key piece.
BONNIE
Oh, jeez...
BAI
Don't worry! If you do die, I'll be sure to avenge you. And we can be ghostly buddies forever!
KLAIR
Let's try to avoid that. What will we have to fight for that key piece?
BAI
A ghost, of course. Not many make it past him! --But, uh, I'm sure you three can! He's tricky because you can't just walk up to him and smack him around until he dissipates. If he disappears, so does the key piece - at least until he re-forms.
KLAIR
So we're stuck with talking to him until he gives it to us?
BAI
Not just talking about anything. You have to remind him.
BONNIE
...R-Remind him? Of what?
BAI
What ties most ghosts to this place is their inability to let go. The House feeds on the living, and when it does, it takes their memories too. If you can remind a ghost, however, they can finally move on. So if you can remind him of who he was before he died here... he'll move on, and drop his key piece for you.
ISSAC
So you don't remember what happened to you?
BAI
I'd rather not discuss it!
BONNIE
C-Can we move on? I feel like something's watching me...
KLAIR
Wait. How can we remind him of who he was? Will we know the answer?
BAI
The House will give you clues to his identity and life before death the best it can. They're probably similarly scattered through this maze.
KLAIR
Right. Let's go hunting for clues, then, I guess.
